How our pumps work

Our pumpout systems are all based on the vacuum principle which is fast, efficient, and reliable.
The effluent is pumped out in two cycles:

Vacuum Cycle

Effluent transferred to pump tank using vacuum pressure...

The suction side of the vacuum pump is connected to the pump tank and sucks out the air. Foul air coming out of the tank is vented through the discharge line into the sewer. No odour!
The Vacuum in the pump tank moves effluent from the boat tank into the pump tank.
Electronic controls monitor the effluent level and switch the pump to the discharge cycle when the pump tank is full & back to the vacuum cycle after  the tank is emptied.  No moving part of the pump is in contact with the effluent.

Discharge Cycle

Effluent flows from cycle tank to sewer...

In the discharge cycle (pressure cycle) the pump moves the effluent from  the pump tank to the sewer.
The pressure side of the vacuum pump is connected with the pump tank and pressurises it. The effluent flows from the pump tank into the sewer.
